Whiteboard

Whiteboards in Nyxhora provide a flexible canvas for visual thinking and collaboration.

Creating a New Whiteboard

1. Click the "+" button in the top navigation bar
2. Select "New Whiteboard" from the dropdown menu
3. Enter a name for your whiteboard
4. Click "Create" to open your new whiteboard

Navigating the Canvas

• Pan: Click and drag on empty space, or hold Space + drag
• Zoom: Use the scroll wheel, pinch gesture, or the zoom controls in the bottom-right corner
• Reset View: Click the "Fit to Screen" button in the view controls
• Mini-map: Use the overview in the bottom-right to quickly navigate large boards

Nyxhora's whiteboard offers various drawing tools to express your ideas visually:

Drawing Tools

• Pen: Freehand drawing with adjustable stroke width and color
• Highlighter: Semi-transparent marker for highlighting
• Shapes: Create rectangles, circles, triangles, and lines
• Text: Add text labels and annotations
• Eraser: Remove specific parts of your drawing
• Selection: Select, move, and resize elements

Styling Options

• Color Picker: Choose from a palette or set custom colors
• Stroke Width: Adjust the thickness of lines and shape borders
• Fill: Add background colors to shapes
• Opacity: Control the transparency of elements
• Text Formatting: Change font, size, and style of text elements

Enhance your whiteboard with various types of content:

Images

1. Click the "Image" button in the toolbar
2. Choose "Upload from computer" or "Paste URL"
3. Select an image or enter a URL
4. Resize and position the image on your whiteboard

Sticky Notes

1. Click the "Sticky Note" button in the toolbar
2. Choose a color for your note
3. Click on the canvas to place the note
4. Type your text into the note

Connectors

1. Select the "Connector" tool from the toolbar
2. Click on the first element you want to connect
3. Drag to the second element and release
4. Adjust the connector style using the properties panel

Templates and Shapes

Nyxhora provides a library of pre-made templates and shapes for common diagrams:

• Flowchart symbols
• UML diagram elements
• Wireframe components
• Kanban board templates
• Mind map structures

Nyxhora's whiteboards are designed for real-time collaboration:

Real-time Editing

• Multiple users can edit the same whiteboard simultaneously
• See other users' cursors and selections in real-time
• Changes sync instantly across all participants

Commenting

1. Click the "Comment" button in the toolbar
2. Click anywhere on the canvas to add a comment
3. Type your comment and press Enter
4. Other users can reply to comments to create threads

Presentation Mode

Present your whiteboard to others with these steps:

1. Click the "Present" button in the top-right corner
2. Choose between "Full Screen" or "Window" mode
3. Navigate through your whiteboard using the arrow keys or by clicking and dragging
4. Use the laser pointer tool to highlight areas during presentation

When you're ready to share your whiteboard outside of Nyxhora:

Export Options

1. Click the "Export" button in the top menu
2. Choose your preferred format:
   • PNG: For high-quality images
   • PDF: For printable documents
   • SVG: For scalable vector graphics
3. Select export area (entire board or selection)
4. Click "Export" to download the file

Sharing with Others

1. Click the "Share" button in the top-right corner
2. Toggle "Public Access" to create a shareable link
3. Choose between "View Only" or "Can Edit" permissions
4. Copy the generated link and share it with anyone
