Nyxhora CleanSweep ("CleanSweep") is published by Nyxhora ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what CleanSweep does with information on your PC.
Summary
CleanSweep works entirely on your PC. It doesn't collect, send or sell any information about you, your files or how you use the app. It has no analytics or advertising.
What CleanSweep reads
To show and clean your storage, CleanSweep reads the names, sizes and dates of files and folders on the drives and folders you choose to scan. It reads basic system information, such as drive capacity and type, memory use, and your Windows theme and accent color. This information stays on your PC and is used only to display results and carry out the actions you choose.
What CleanSweep stores on your PC
CleanSweep keeps these files in its app data folder on your PC:
- Settings: your theme choice.
- Activity log: the time, action, file path, size and result of each delete, clean and shred, plus your Windows user name and computer name.
- Storage history: one reading per day of each drive's used and total space.
- Crash log: technical details if the app crashes.
You can open this folder from Settings → Open log folder and delete it at any time. Uninstalling CleanSweep removes it.
When information leaves your PC
- Purchases: if you subscribe to CleanSweep Pro, the purchase is handled by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's privacy statement. We don't receive your payment details. CleanSweep asks the Microsoft Store whether your subscription is active.
- Organizations: if your employer's IT department configures an audit folder through Group Policy or Intune, CleanSweep also writes the activity log to that folder. Your employer controls that copy.
- Files you export: shred certificates and CSV exports are saved only where you choose.
Children
CleanSweep isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the effective date.
